How does TeleProspecting differ from traditional telemarketing?

Telemarketers are trained to do just that: sell over the phone. They are trained to do whatever they can to obtain a sale or close an appointment. Do you remember the last time you received a call from a telemarketer? How responsive were you and more importantly, what did you think of the company? Why would you want to do this to your prospects?

Telemarketers are very often guilty of "Pre-Mature Proposing" which means they assume everyone with whom they speak has an immediate need to be met.
